Here at Hazel’s Hands, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2020, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Our Story
Hazel's Hands Inc was established in 2021, inspired by the legacy of Hazel Hunter Stokes, the founder's maternal grandmother. The organization honors Hazel's lifelong commitment to compassion and service. Hazel devoted herself to aiding others, serving as a foster and adoptive parent, and offering refuge to numerous homeless single mothers and their children. Additionally, she extended aid and solace to women fleeing domestic abuse.
Together with her husband Patrick, Hazel operated a mission on LA's Skid Row, offering nourishing meals and clothing to the homeless population for many years. Today, we remain committed to upholding Hazel's legacy by continuing to provide vital assistance and resources to current and former youth in foster care and kinship arrangements.
